Vindhya Khare is the President/Director of the University Center for the Performing Arts in Davie, Florida. She is a native of Southern California and a graduate of Califoria State University, Northridge where she received her degree in Piano Performance. Since moving to South Florida in 1992, she has made her mark in the various opera houses of South Florida and is in demand as an accompanist specializing in operatic repertoire. She was Principal Pianist/Voice Coach and Associate Chorus Master of the Palm Beach Opera where she played under the baton of the late Maestro Anton Guadagno. She is the President of The Paul L. Rodensky Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit organization associated with the UCPA that is committed to promoting the performing arts and presenting concert events. Vindhya maintains a studio at the UCPA where she teaches piano and coaches singers. She also has a passion for composing music and select compositions have been featured in the independent films "The Park" and "Last Minute." Some of her original piano solos have been set to choreography and performed in concert by Jubilee Dance Theater and Bailes Ferrer Flamenco Dance Company. Vindhya also serves as Choir Director at Trinity Church International in Lake Worth. The 90 voice ensemble recently released their second CD, "Joy in the House."
